whose comment reminded me so much of how I feel toward the end of summer- pulling on sweaters and knee-socks in the morning and pulling them off in exasperation by the end of breakfast. She said:
I am sooo excited for Fall! It's going to be 90 today, but I put on a Fall outfit this morn' because I am in denial and trying to force the chilly weather to get here sooner. I think I will give up and go change into my swimsuit in about an hour:) Pumpkins are my favorite!! I am making pumpkin bread later as well. and I twittle-de-tweet @wollypollyphoto. BOO!!!

Yay for Ashley! I got wind of this a little late but here's my addition to the comments and may you continue to blog forever my kindred spirit for it makes the distance between us seem as they are on a map, mere inches.
ReplyDeleteEven with an Indian Summer beginning, the promise of crisp autumn days and hills painted with a magic only the fall can weave, the smell of chimneys puffing away after a season of sitting quietly ignored, dry street gutters begging for little feet to crunch through their symphony of leaves, friends old and new and family gathering together in cozy homes filled with the aromas of delicious comforting foods that fill the belly and warm the heart; it is easy to see why this time of year is most dear to me.
I missed it! I was offline for the weekend.. Love the new blog design though!
